Garmt is honest, direct, and completely dedicated. He keeps his commitments and shows genuine interest in you as a person, as that also impacts your performance. In return, he expects 100% commitment from you.

We worked a lot with process goals. By focusing on the things I could influence, I derived more enjoyment and satisfaction from what I was doing. This helped me tremendously after my decision to change weight classes to +78. My opponents were all much heavier, sometimes even twice my weight. That was intimidating! But by focusing on process goals, emphasizing my own strengths, and recognizing that I had no influence over the size of my opponents, I was able to bring that tension down to a manageable level.

During evaluations, we looked not only at what could be improved but also at what was already going well, to build my confidence. Garmt sometimes believed in my abilities even more than I did, and that made the difference at crucial moments. His honesty during those evaluations wasn't always easy to hear, but it was exactly what I needed. There were disappointments, setbacks, and occasionally underwhelming performances, but the collaboration was always focused on progress.

Don’t expect an easy path, but one that will take you further than you might have thought possible.
